About the Role – Senior Software Engineer (AI Backend)

Join Seismic’s AI team in Hyderabad, India, and play a critical role in shaping the future of Generative AI and content discovery.

AI is a fast-growing focus area at Seismic. Our proprietary Seismic Aura AI engine powers transformative solutions for sales enablement, boosting productivity and successful outcomes for enterprise clients.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build, optimize, and integrate AI-driven backend systems and services, enhancing the Seismic platform with cutting-edge capabilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Distributed Systems Development

   • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend systems for AI, information extraction, and information retrieval.

2. Algorithm Optimization

   • Implement and optimize AI-driven semantic algorithms, indexing, and information retrieval techniques to improve search accuracy and efficiency.

3. Integration

   • Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and product teams to integrate AI capabilities across the Seismic platform.

4. Performance Tuning

   • Monitor and optimize service performance, ensuring low-latency query responses and addressing performance bottlenecks.

5. Technical Leadership

   • Mentor junior engineers, promoting best practices and fostering technical excellence in backend development.

6. Collaboration

   • Work closely with cross-functional teams—including product managers, frontend engineers, and UX designers—to deliver seamless and user-friendly experiences.

7. Continuous Improvement

   • Stay updated with industry trends, conduct research, and drive technical innovation in AI and backend systems.

What You Bring to the Team

Experience

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record in building and scaling microservices and data retrieval systems.

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET frameworks.

• Experience with:

  • Unit testing and object-oriented programming (OOP).

  • Relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Terraform, Pulumi (preferred).

  • Event-driven architectures – Kafka (preferred).

  • Feature management – LaunchDarkly (preferred).

  • Front-end/full-stack experience is a plus.

Cloud Expertise

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.

• Knowledge of cloud-native AI/ML services, data storage, and data processing.

• Experience deploying containerized applications on Kubernetes is a plus.

AI & Search Technologies

• Experience in Generative AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a plus.

• Familiarity with search platforms like ElasticSearch and semantic search is desirable.

SaaS Knowledge

• Extensive experience in SaaS application development and distributed cloud technologies.

• Deep understanding of modern distributed systems and cloud operations.

Product Development

• Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Proven track record of leading feature development from concept to launch.

Leadership Skills

• Mentorship and technical leadership capabilities.

• Ability to align with cross-functional teams and drive technical vision.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
