About the Job

Red Hat’s Services team is seeking an experienced Support Engineer or Systems Administrator with 6-10 years of experience to join us as a Technical Account Manager. In this role, you will work closely with Telco customers and manage Red Hat OpenStack and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environments. You’ll deliver personalized, proactive technology engagement, ensuring long-lasting customer relationships and guiding them through the complete Red Hat product portfolio.

As a Technical Account Manager, your goal will be to provide premium advisory support, advocate on behalf of customers, and collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Product Management, Global Support, Sales & Services teams to resolve issues.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical reviews and share knowledge to proactively identify and prevent issues.

  • Understand customers' technical infrastructures, hardware, processes, and offerings.

  • Investigate and respond to support requests via phone and online.

  • Assist with portfolio updates and guide customers through upgrades.

  • Manage customer cases and maintain clear, concise case documentation.

  • Create engagement plans and update documentation for customer environments.

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction throughout the complete adoption lifecycle of Red Hat products.

  • Engage with Red Hat's field teams to ensure a successful outcome and long-term enterprise success.

  • Align Red Hat platform & cloud solutions with customer use cases and communicate product roadmaps.

  • Capture Red Hat product capabilities, identifying gaps related to customer use cases.

  • Collaborate with Red Hat’s product engineering teams to develop solution patterns.

  • Contribute internally by sharing knowledge, best practices, and mentoring team members.

  • Travel to visit customers, partners, conferences, and events as required.


What Will You Bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).

  • Fluent reading and writing skills in English.

  • Proven experience in managing and growing enterprise customers by delivering proactive, relationship-based support.

  • Experience in open-source projects is a plus.

  • Red Hat OpenStack (RHOSP): Strong system administration and troubleshooting experience.

  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP) or Kubernetes/Docker cluster management experience.

  • RHOCP Architecture knowledge and troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience in Prometheus and Grafana (open-source monitoring solutions) is a plus.

  • Red Hat OpenShift v4.x administration experience is a plus.
