Role Overview

The Commercial Finance Analyst will support the planning and analytics for Commercial Finance, focusing on volume, results, and forecasting. This role requires a highly technical individual experienced in complex financial modeling and working with large datasets. The position reports directly to the Manager, FP&A based in India.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:

• Preparation of Weekly/Monthly Reports:

  • Prepare volume reports on a weekly and monthly basis.

• Variance Analysis:

  • Conduct variance analysis to assess financial performance.

• Communication of Financials:

  • Communicate monthly financial results and key variance drivers.

• Planning & Forecasting Support:

  • Assist in supporting the planning and forecasting processes.

• Developing Financial Models:

  • Develop and enhance financial models for better forecasting.

• Power BI Dashboards:

  • Work on and maintain Power BI dashboards for tracking performance.

• Collaboration:

  • Regular interaction with other regional and functional finance teams, especially during close and forecasting periods.

• Managing Expectations:

  • Manage business partner and customer expectations effectively.

What We’re Looking For:

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong modeling skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Analytical & Problem-Solving:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data.

• Communication Skills:

  • Strong emphasis on communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, particularly in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

• Teamwork & Time Zone Coordination:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in different time zones.

• Independent Project Management:

  • Ability to manage projects independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

• Financial/Business Analysis Background:

  • Previous experience in financial or business analysis is a must.

• Self-driven:

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Travel Industry Experience (Preferred):

  • Experience in the travel industry is preferred but not required.

• FP&A Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in FP&A, specifically in revenues & volume forecasting/analytics using complex data.

• Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in Finance or an equivalent field.
